CRG Defense delivers final shipment supporting B-1 Bomber modernization

CRG Defense has successfully delivered the final shipment of Antenna Angle of Arrival
(AAA) kits and spare parts to support the fleet-wide modernization of the B-1 Bomber’s
ALQ-161 Defensive Avionics System.

This milestone caps a multi-year effort with Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), Mercer
Engineering Research Center (MERC), and the B-1 Program Office to refine the AAA kit
design, manufacturing, and qualification testing. In 2024, CRG Defense was awarded a
sole-source, SBIR Phase III procurement contract from the Air Force Life Cycle
Management Center (AFLCMC) to supply kits directly to B-1 maintainers at Dyess AFB —
work we were proud to complete in September 2025.

CRG Defense was grateful for the opportunity to support the B-1 Program Office and the
AFLCMC with their fleet modernization objectives and looks forward to future
opportunities. CRG Defense would like to extend special thanks to our contacts at GTRI &
MERC for their technical support throughout this effort.
